Please share your stories, knowledge and expertise you have gained in all the years of collecting regarding Type Sets.
How do you collect them?
year?
date?
mint marks?
other ways?
Give us reasons why you started collecting and share any tips you may have.

I hope other people share there type sets here so
I will start with one that I have.
Its a 1944 PD&S set. I purchased this particular year because it is the WWII years in which my Mom and Dad were involved in so its kind of like a tribute to my parents.
I purchased it from the original owner and it was kept in the original holder that the person placed it in to when he purchased it.
This is a quick image I took years ago but if you would like to visit the registry her is the link.

Spectacular sets! They sure issued a lot of coins in 1944, didn't they?!
