1853 Rail Road Bank Note
« on: September 06, 2009, 03:53:49 PM »
I bought this a long time ago and always wondered what this is worth and what is the history behind them?

I bought it because I loved the design :)

Railroad Bank, and all I see are clippers, steamboats and schooners, none of which had easy access to Adrian, MI - a small town SW of Ann Arbor, not too far from the Ohio border.  Adrian then was a fairly prominent transit point - and had several banks that issued Obsoletes.  Now it is a fairly small by comparison place with a couple of manufacturing companies that is an older but still stable community not on a decline like much of Michigan is.
