As for the question of why I have added modern coins to the collection. Remember, we are looking 10 - 15

years in the future. Above average coins of modern series, thru grade, luster or toning, are already scarce

and may approach a measure of rarity in the coming decade. They are fairly inexpensive now, just as Classical type

was inexpensive 75 years ago.It is a matter of personal choice and I chose to expand the collection, to include a number

of examples of such modern series.Modern coins are coins too, and beautiful examples are entitled to love and care just

as much as what we now call Classical Type Coins. :)  Finally, the market for modern coins is fairly soft right now, perhaps

the lull before the storm of activity hits?

Lots of additions coming next week, will include a tremendous toned Robinson, some amazing toned Franklin Halves

as well as some pictures to fill in the spots left with no picture in the collection. Also, whatever I can win in any of the three

big auctions. So far, I had 12 strong bids blown out of the water at Heritage. We shall see what happens at the other two.

Bear,

Thanks for a wonderful collection.  That Ike is one of my favorite coins I've ever seen and I am not an Ike fan normally!
