Has this site been hacked?
« on: February 07, 2013, 10:43:00 PM »
I probably haven't been on this forum for a couple of years, but I received the following email today, supposedly from this site:

Quote
Hello Satootoko,
You have been added as a User to CoinsAreFun by an Administrator.
This email contains your username and password to log in to http:// test.coins arefun.com/
Username: Satootoko
Password:
Please do not respond to this message as it is automatically generated and is for information purposes only.

When I clicked on the link, I wound up on a page with no reference to coins, a box with my username already inserted, and box to type my password in.  (I broke the link in this message with a couple of spaces, so no one would accidentally use it.)

Smells like someone got my email & username from this site, and is phishing for my password in the hope that I use the same one for multiple sites.

Anyone else get that "invitation"?

I also got the same thing as well,Roy.

It is very fishy to me.

I did NOT bother to log in to that.

Aidan.

Yes, you can ignore this as I was testing. Sorry for the alarms going off. I didn't know the test sofware would email all of the users. :0
