Very nice coins. I've always like the coins from the time period you collect. Any good books you could recommend for me to get.

Regandon,
Many thanks.
It depends on what you want the book for. If you're interested in the more academic side of things then buying a JJ North's "English Hammered Coinage Volume 1" will be most beneficial whereas if you are wanting something where the history is intertwined with the history in a book then Charles Oman's "The Coinage of England" will be of interest.
There are dozens of books out there but each one appeals to different interests.
Kindest Regards,
Clive.

Thank you for the info. I guess as I'm an historian, I will look at getting the Charles Oman book. The Cnut coin I posted has my interest sparked in this time period. Every time you post one of your coins, it really gets me wanting to study more on the rulers of that time period. 16th century is as far back as my knowledge goes.

Regandon,
Yes, the Oman book is good for an overview of the history and the coinage. Something like D Henson's "A Guide to Late Anglo-Saxon England" might also be of interest to you.
